Why should I get a massage? Isn't it just a "feel good" luxury?
Yes, massage feels good! There is much to be said for feeling good. If the only benefit of having massage was feeling good, wouldn't that have tremendous worth? Think about it. Most of us go through our day carrying along with us a lot of stress. This stress can manifest in our bodies as pain, discomfort, stiffness, fatigue, and a host of other issues. If left untreated, these issues can lead to more, long term health problems. Science proves that long term, elevated stress levels contribute to the weakening of our immune system. So it makes sense that if we can lower our stress levels, we can actually stay healthier and possibly avoid illness and disease.
Food for thought Break it down. The word, "disease", is simply: Dis-Ease.....Hmmmm???
So, should we view massage as a "feel-good luxury"? yes and no. It does make us feel good and that, in and of itself does a body good! Luxury? I believe it is a necessity.
Do you sit at your computer feeling your neck and shoulders tighten? Do you stand for long hours on the job wishing you could sit down and kick off those shoes for a bit? Perhaps you frequently sit in your car or an airplane on yet another long bushiness business feeling exhausted and in need of a good stretch. Maybe you are at home tending to the needs of your family each day and would just love to get away for an hour to refresh. The next time this happens to you, why not schedule a session with your Massage Therapist? It could literally change your life. Read the testimonials on his site and see what others are saying.
